Testimonials
Best pump I've owned!
Im so glad I’ve brought the spectra, it helped my supply so much exclusively pumping for my son. I can’t recommend this pump enough to everyone! If your not sure on what pump to purchase I would definitely say go for the spectra, it’s been amazing for me and my baby!😍
Hospital grade
The clinic I was at was using this as their standard hospital grade pump. While the yield is great, my only complaint is that it’s bulky and requires some work given that you’re attached to the wall with it! I prefer the hands free alternatives. Also, the night light is a unique feature!
As close to perfect as I've found
The Spectra pump delivers a powerful yet gentle experience, yielding higher milk output and greater comfort compared to other pumps. While it takes longer and lacks ideal collection kits, its quiet operation and affordability make it a favorite despite minor drawbacks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Spectra pumps utilize Natural Nursing Technology, which mimics a baby’s natural suckling patterns to provide a comfortable and efficient pumping experience. This helps increase milk output in less time.
Flange size is determined by the nipple's diameter, not the areola. It is recommended to measure your nipple and add 2–3 mm for a proper fit. Incorrect sizing can impact comfort and milk production.
Spectra suggests aiming for 6–8 sessions per day, with each session lasting 20 minutes. The total daily pumping time should ideally be about 120 minutes.
Before first use, sterilize all pump parts except the tubing. After each use, wash parts with warm, soapy water and air dry on a clean surface. Using non-antibacterial soap is advised to prevent residue.
Mothers typically pump 2–4 ounces per session, depending on factors like feeding frequency and whether they’re pumping to replace a missed feeding or between feedings.
Spectra offers a range of accessories, including different flange sizes, hands-free pumping bras, and milk storage solutions, to enhance the pumping experience.
